Carving tips for this stencil
- The wing outlines are long and narrow. Work in short saw strokes and leave the small feet for last.
- Difficulty: Challenging. Plan on an evening and use a small kit saw, not a kitchen knife.
- Cut from the center outward, so the pumpkin stays strong while you work on the edges.
- Choose a pumpkin with a smooth face at least 9 inches across and thin the wall behind the design from the inside.
