Photo stencils for crafts, beyond pumpkins
A CarveKin pattern is a stencil of your photo. Every piece you keep is connected to the rest, which is exactly what a stencil needs: nothing floats loose when you cut it out.
Which file to use
- SVG for cutting machines such as Cricut and Silhouette, and for design apps. It's at your chosen physical size and can be scaled in those apps.
- PDF to print at exact size and cut by hand with a craft knife.
- PNG for quick previews, printing on photo paper, or sharing.
Our checks are done at the size you chose. If you resize the SVG for another craft, very fine details may become too thin to cut cleanly.
Ideas
- Painted signs and walls. Cut the stencil from cardstock or stencil film and dab paint through the black areas.
- T-shirts and tote bags. Cut the black areas from freezer paper, iron it shiny side down, and paint with fabric paint.
- Vinyl decals. Load the SVG into your cutting machine for car windows, mugs, or laptops.
- Cakes and lattes. Hold a cut cardstock stencil over the top and dust with powdered sugar or cocoa.
- Window art. Tape the printed pattern inside a window with a light behind it, or paint it with window markers.
Holidays all year
A family photo stencil makes a personal Christmas ornament, a Mother's Day card, or a birthday sign. Extra sizes of a design you bought are free, so you can make a small one for a card and a large one for a sign.
