Carving tips for this stencil
- Only three openings. The bats are pumpkin joined to the edge of the moon, so keep those joins when you cut.
- Difficulty: Easy. Fine for a first pumpkin.
- Usually cut small inner pieces before big outer ones, so the pumpkin stays strong while you work.
- Choose a pumpkin with a smooth face at least 9 inches across and thin the wall behind the design from the inside.
