Carving tips for this stencil
- The ears and wings are thin cut lines that glow as outlines. Cut the small face details and fangs first, then the long wing and ear lines in short saw strokes.
- Difficulty: Challenging. Plan on an evening and use a small kit saw, not a kitchen knife.
- Usually cut small inner pieces before big outer ones, so the pumpkin stays strong while you work.
- Choose a pumpkin with a smooth face at least 9 inches across and thin the wall behind the design from the inside.
