Carving tips for this stencil
- Start with the eyes and the small mouth openings. Keep every white tooth and dividing strip intact: the grin is several separate cuts, not one large opening.
- Difficulty: Standard. Plan on an evening and use a small kit saw, not a kitchen knife.
- Usually cut small inner pieces before big outer ones, so the pumpkin stays strong while you work.
- Choose a pumpkin with a smooth face at least 9 inches across and thin the wall behind the design from the inside.
